Tatham Fells Parish Walk 2011
A Training Walk

Saturday 25th August 2011

Length: 9 miles with 1000 feet of climb

For many years, an annual walk has been arranged to raise funds for the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tatham Fells. A different route is planned each time.

This year we walked to Bentham, caught the train to Clapham, then walked back.

12 set off from the Old School, another joined en route to Bentham Station, and five more joined on the train, having travelled from Lancaster (1) or Wennington (4).

After a cloudy start, and a light shower around lunchtime, the afternoon turned out fine, and the su shone as we returned to the Old School for tea and biscuits.

And what were we training for? The 2012 walk, of course, and something much more challenging is being plotted. Watch this space!
